Professional Learning Communities


A professional learning community, or PLC, is a group of educators that meets regularly, shares expertise, and works collaboratively to improve teaching skills and the academic performance of students.

Mountain View teachers meet regularly in PLCs to answer the following questions:

  • What do we want students to learn?
  • How will we know if each student is learning it?
  • How will we respond when a student is experiencing difficulty with learning it?
  • How will we respond if the student already know it?
